Sashakt Development and Empowerment Foundation (SDEF), established in 2019 under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building an empowered society where every individual leads a dignified life. Rooted in empathy and driven by a passion for social good, SDEF works tirelessly to uplift communities through advocacy, awareness, and impactful initiatives across our communities. By fostering respect and equality, we are creating meaningful change - one step at a time, empowering communities, inspiring change.

Who We Are

Sashakt Development and Empowerment Foundation (SDEF}, founded under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, is a not-for-profit organization that envisions building an empowered society where all sections of the community live a respectful and dignified life. Driven by empathy and passion to empower communities, the foundation was started in the year 2019.

Since its inception, we have taken continuous steps toward achieving its goal and spreading its footprint of social good through empathy and action to a larger population. It remains steadfast in its commitment to various social development activities, aligning with its core philosophy of empowering a community through advocacy, awareness programmes, and impactful projects across various locations in Delhi. Every small action counts as we work towards our larger vision.

Our Vision

Building an inclusive society where every individual has access to basic facilities and opportunities, enabling them to reach their full potential and promote sustainable development towards becoming a developed nation by 2035.

Our Mission

Addressing the depravity amongst the weaker sections of the community, through advocacy, awareness, consultation, collaborative efforts and direct outreach aiming to reach 10,000 citizens over 6 years in the areas of Health, Education, Livelihood, Environment and Farming sector.

Accreditations as CSR Implementing Agency

SDEF qualifies the eligibility criteria prescribed under the Company Act 2013 for implementing the CSR projects as detailed below:

Sashakt Development and Empowerment Foundation (SDEF) was founded under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 and fully complies with all applicable regulations. 

It has requisite registration under income tax exemption under section 12 (A) and for donations under section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act.

  It is registered with MCA for implementing CSR projects and has CSR form 1. 

It is also registered with the Darpan Portal of Niti Aayog vide registration no DL/2023/03411162

A M&E framework with output, outcome, and impact indicators is a prerequisite for evaluating the effective and successful implementation of a project and taking corrective measures during the implementation for getting the desired outcome.
