Neetu Kakkar is the Co-founder and President of Northern United Football Club (NUFC), where she leads with strategic vision and a deep understanding of the sports ecosystem. Holding a Master’s degree in Economics, she brings a rare combination of analytical acumen and grassroots leadership to Indian football.Under her leadership, NUFC has made rapid strides—from progressing from Delhi B
Division to A Division in just five months to building sustainable sponsorship models that support long-term growth. She has forged strategic partnerships across schools, corporates, and local communities to promote football development at all levels,
especially among underprivileged and underrepresented groups.
In addition to her executive role at NUFC, Neetu has held multiple leadership positions in Indian football. She has served as Team Manager for the Delhi State U-17 Girls Team at the Dream Sports Foundation National Championship 2025 in Goa, and for the Sub
Juniors, Juniors and Senior Womens’ Teams at National Football Championships. Her work in these roles includes logistics management, athlete welfare, and ensuring professional coordination for young female athletes. She also plays an important role in football governance, serving on selection committees for the Junior and Sub-Junior Delhi State Girls’ Teams (2024–25),
contributing to transparent and merit-based player identification. Previously, Neetu gained international experience as an Administrator with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services in the United Kingdom, bringing a global standard of professionalism to her work in India. Her journey reflects an unwavering commitment to empowering women, promoting youth development, and building inclusive football
ecosystems across the country.
